The leader and the oldest member of Lovelyz (Baby Soul·Yoo Jiae·Seo Jisoo·Lee Mijoo·Kei·JIN·Ryu Sujeong·Jeong Yein), Baby Soul (Lee Soojung), who debuted in the music scene with a showcase on November 12, 2014, celebrated her birthday on the 6th. She was born in July 6, 1992.
After only 2 years and 6 months, Baby Soul's group Lovelyz won their first win on SBS MTV 'The Show' with 'Now, We' from their 2nd repackaged album, making a name for themselves as a rising girl group.
Yet, with ambitions like, "We want to be a group that always grows," Lovelyz are always ready for new challenges. They will be holding their 2nd concert 'Alwayz' this upcoming 29th. Q. What's your impression on celebrating your birthday in 2017?
▲ “I'm very happy to be celebrating my birthday, and also thankful to the fansㅜㅜI love you. Lovelinus!! Ah, also, thank you to my mother who gave birth to me!! Thank you and I love you, mother!♥”
Q. Looks like you won't be able to spend a free birthday because of the upcoming concert. Isn't it unfortunate?
▲ “Fortunately, my birthday is on the day before the concert practice starts so I'll be able to enjoy my last free day!”
Q. What does birthday mean to Baby Soul?
▲ “The day of my birth, the day to thank my mother, the day to thank myself for living hard, the day to thank my fans for giving me so much love! It's a day to be thankful. ㅎㅎ”
Q. You've grown older. Can you tell us what you think about getting older?
▲ “I don't usually think much about my age. Rather, I just think, "So I'm older than last year." I like that!!”
Q. What age do you most anticipate?
▲ “I'm anticipating next year's 27 years old the most.ㅎㅎ. I somehow think I'll have a lot of good days so I'm anticipating.”
Q. When is your most memorable birthday until now?
▲ “I came to Seoul during my 2nd year of high school so it was my last birthday in Gwangju and all of my classmates came together and threw me a surprise birthday party. It's the most memorable!ㅋㅋㅋ It was the first time that I've seen a two-tier cake so it's an exciting memory. ㅎㅎ.”
Q. Is there a special birthday present?
▲ “I lived alone in Seoul when I was 19 years old. My classmates in Gwangju and my homeroom teacher made a message book and delivered it to me!”
Q. Do you think there's a present that you want to receive in the future?
▲ “A hidden camera!!!! Because I think it'll be a fun and happy memory!!!!”
Q. If you were given a holiday for your birthday, what do you want to do?
▲ “To go on a healing trip with my family!!! I've never been on a trip with my family so I want to go on a summer healing trip to a nice country!!!!”
Q. Is there any star that you want to receive a birthday wish from?
▲ “Lee Hyori-sunbaenim!! I want to greet her and receive a birthday wish from her. ㅎㅎㅎㅎ Even hearing a word (from her) will give me strength and I think it will be an honor!!!”
Q. If you could imagine your birthday in 10 years?
▲ “Um, I think I'll be me who challenges various things and become the me that I imagined! I think I'll have a small, cool party with my favorite peopleㅎㅎㅎㅎJoyful!”
Q. Is there someone whom you'd like to thank on your birthday?
▲ “The biggest gratitude is for Lovelinus and my mother! I'm very thankful to Lovelinus who have loved me so much like this and I want to say that I love you!! I will love you even more in the future!!ㅎㅎㅎㅎ Also, mother! Thank you for raising me well until now and in the future, I'll be more filial! Let's be happy! I love you♥.”
